Photpgraphy in Morocco

Snapping pictures becomes the ultimate aim of any traveler to keep souvenires from visited places. Photography in Morocco, however, needs to be undertaken with much care. In some rural places around Morocco, it's considered genuinly offensive to take pictures of localers during certain daily activities. If you are obviously taking a photograph of someone, ask for their permission to find yourself comfortable with those picture snaps. Or simply ask your guide to see if it can be possible to snap a picture of someone.

Some places, like Djemaa el Fna, where it's obvious to locate some snake charmers, acrobats and some other lively scenes, you maybe asked to offer some few coins for some shots taken. You have to bear in mind that anyone agrees to be photographed may ask you for a little money, especially in major tourist spots.

Avoid taking pictures of any Military or Official Buildings, such as an airport, Resident Palaces of the King, Police Stations, Military Strategic Fortresses. This may get you in such length of questions and ask you to officially delete the picture snapped. So be careful where to point your Camera.
